SEARCHING FOR BOOKS

Advice to give to members of the public searching for books

When members of the public contact you asking for a book which is not in your stock, you should refer them to the ILAB website if they have access to the internet. You should point out there is a regulatory system for all books bought through booksellers who are members of ILAB national associations. They should be further advised that if they can not find the book on that site, they should use http://used.addall.com/. They should be warned, however, that the majority of sites searched by "Addall" are unregulated and that they would be well advised to use only ABA and other ILAB booksellers. If they do not have access to the internet, you should refer them to the ABA office who will supply them with a list of ABA members dealing in the speciality in which they are interested.
